Youth Programmes
The role of Recoil Youth is to provide strategic direction and leadership via youth participation; To create a wider awareness and understanding about ACEs and Child Exploitation within Black communities.
Black and Brown people are less likely to be in touch with support services and they are under-represented within them. There are many barriers for Black and Brown communities to engage with support services: Trust, Shame, Working with the Police and lack of Awareness. Additionally there are very little culturally appropriate support services to address these problems.
Recoil Youth is targeted towards the Black and Brown communities and those associating with them not excluding other races and backgrounds. Recoil Youth aims to campaign to raise awareness of Generational Trauma, break ACE cycles and to end Child Exploitation.
Education Workshops
Education for Children and Young People
Educational workshops built around key topics. Each session addresses specific issues that young people are or at risk from experiencing. Awareness raising sessions focusing in on Sexual Health and Child Abuse.  Including also health and wellbeing session tailored around the services and facilities available in Birmingham, UK empowering and preparing young people for independent living and self-care. Whilst Promoting partnership work with upholding the values of working together to safeguard our children
